Waldweg im Herbstlicht

Take my hand and come with me.
I will walk with you.
Beauty’s all that we can see.
Everywhere on every tree
a fairy tell comes true.

Fog that covers everything,
before the sun will rise
and shine up to the golden shields
of all the trees, to stone and fields
till all the beauty dies.

Autumn leaves are falling down,
sliding gently to the ground.
Changing colours everywhere.
Smell of winter in the air.

Still Sun defends the misty air
and shows her golden wings.
The spiders work just over there
seems like some white and silky hair
with diamonds on strings.

Now leaves will change in gold and brown
and rain down from the sky.
When all the leaves had fallen down
the tree defies with mighty crown
the storms, that will pass by.

Autumn leaves are falling down,
sliding gently to the ground.
Changing colours everywhere.
Smell of winter in the air.

The time has come to stay at home
and rest by warming flames.
The raindrops play their monotone
and sadly songs outside alone.
And we are playing games.

Autumn leaves are falling down,
sliding gently to the ground.
Changing colours everywhere.
Smell of Christmas in the air.
